CSN Chicago Partners with NBC Sports to Expand Notre Dame Football Coverage

Beginning this season, Comcast SportsNet Chicago will expand its coverage of Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football via a new partnership with NBC Sports — the national television home for every Fighting Irish home game — by providing additional content to help power NBCSports.com’s popular Notre Dame Central section.
Comcast SportsNet will also contribute a dedicated Notre Dame Football “Insider” in JJ Stankevitz (@JJStankevitz) from CSNChicago.com, who will serve as a beat reporter in providing up-to-the-minute Fighting Irish news and analysis, columns, game previews/recaps, interviews and much more.
In addition, Fighting Irish fans can also look forward to the following coverage highlights this season on Comcast SportsNet:
SAME DAY HOME GAME REPLAYS
Beginning with the team’s home/season opener on Saturday, August 31 vs. Temple, Comcast SportsNet will provide a same day replay of every Notre Dame home game produced by NBC Sports with the Aug. 31 replay scheduled to air at 11:00 PM CT. Additional home game replays airing on Comcast SportsNet this season include games against Michigan State (Sept. 21), Oklahoma (Sept. 28), Arizona State (Oct. 5), USC (Oct. 19), Navy (Nov. 2) and BYU (Nov. 23). (NOTE: Replay airings to regularly take place on these Saturdays at 11:00 PM; fans are urged to consult CSNChicago.com for exact air times).
HEAD COACH BRIAN KELLY’s WEEKLY PRESS CONFERENCE
CSNChicago.com will provide a live stream of Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly’s weekly press conference, as he will address the prior weekend’s game, along with detailing his game plan against the team’s upcoming opponent. Coach Kelly’s weekly press conference, which will take place from Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, IN, will be live streamed every Tuesday throughout the season at 11:00 AM.
“INSIDE NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL” WITH BRIAN KELLY
Once again, Comcast SportsNet will be the local TV home for “Inside Notre Dame Football” with Head Coach Brian Kelly this season. The weekly, half-hour show will feature key highlights, along with detailed discussion & analysis regarding the team’s previous game and an X’s and O’s preview of their upcoming opponent. “Inside ND Football” will make its 2013 season premiere on Tuesday, September 3 in its regular 5:00 PM CT time slot. (NOTE: This Tuesday afternoon program may air on occasion at 4:30 PM CT should there be live pro event airing at 6:00 PM that evening).
TONY RICE (1988 NATIONAL CHAMPION FIGHTING IRISH QB) JOINS CSN CHICAGO
To provide fans with additional, expert ND coverage, Comcast SportsNet has hired Tony Rice, former quarterback of the 1988 national champion Fighting Irish, to be its ND Football on-air/online contributor this season. Rice’s analysis will be showcased on the network’s “SportsNet Central” and “SportsTalk Live” programs, along with expanded analysis and commentary online at CSNChicago.com.
