SVG’s TranSPORT to Highlight ‘The Virtual Compound’ on Nov. 12 in NYC

On November 12 in NYC, SVG’s TranSPORT will have sessions focused on connecting ‘the virtual compound’ and the latest contribution workflows that connect the broadcast center with truck. This year’s TranSPORT event will include a trio of general sessions, as well as two breakout tracks that focus on the Future of Sports Transmission and Connecting the Virtual Compound.

Here are the highlights of the Connecting the Virtual Compound breakout track:

Intra-Compound Connectivity: Tying it All Together
Remote production units and the equipment inside continue to embrace IP-based signal distribution. How does that move impact the way trucks are internally wired and how they connect to each other? What are the benefits and risks with going IP and how does it differ from traditional routing? Find out at the session, Intra-Compound Connectivity: Tying it All Together.

The Virtual Compound: Bridging the Truck and the Broadcast Center
More robust connectivity between the broadcast compound and the broadcast center is creating an opportunity for new approaches to the way events are produced.
