WFYI Productions Joins The Switch – Indianapolis
Story Highlights
With its new HD-SDI connection, The Switch has added WFYI Productions/PBS in Indianapolis.
WFYI Productions is a part of WFYI Public Media, located at 1630 North Meridian Street. The station is minutes away from the city’s downtown and has well-marked parking adjacent to the building.
WFYI Productions offers a traditional single or multi-camera television studio with a news-style set. For live-shot services, WFYI Productions can offer either large-monitor backdrops featuring the Indianapolis Skyline (both day and night) or a generic backdrop.
WFYI Productions also has a large studio with a white cyc (or black curtain) that can be used for Satellite Media Tours or multiple camera productions, including studio audiences. A new fiber connection linking WFYI to seven other PBS stations in Indiana (including Bloomington, Muncie, South Bend, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Vincennes and Merrillville) may also allow WFYI to serve as a gateway Switch connection for other video feeds in Indiana.
Additionally, WFYI Productions offers a full array of field and post-production services, and can accommodate most major editing platforms.
