CBSi Advanced Media Launches College Sports Live

CBS Interactive Advanced Media launched College Sports Live, a redesigned all-access subscription product for more than 100 partner schools featuring live streaming and on-demand audio and video coverage. The new digital streaming product, which replaces ULive and individual school All Access products, is customized for each school and sport and will be available across desktop, tablet, mobile and Connected TV platforms with one subscription.

CBSICollege Sports Live gives subscribers access to the most comprehensive video offerings in college sports, featuring live coverage of over 18,000 events and thousands more related on-demand videos throughout the year. The embeddable video player utilizes responsive design and high-quality video streams to connect fans directly to their school’s athletic events, as well as interactive programming guides, live stats, social integration, and trending content.

College Sports Live can be accessed online at and through each partner school’s site. It’s also now available for mobile on iOS and Android. Subscriptions cost $9.95 monthly or $99.95 annually.

In addition, CBS Interactive Advanced Media will launch new Gameday LIVE apps on iOS and Android for a number of its University partners, offering daily event-centric content for each sport and providing fans with a second-screen experience featuring live streaming video from College Sports Live, scores, schedules, rosters, and more. The school-branded apps, which will be available for the fall sports season, will also be a key resource for fans attending the games, offering on-campus information about facilities and venues including seating, parking, maps and directions. Live audio and video in the Gameday LIVE apps can be accessed with College Sports Live subscriptions. CBS Interactive Advanced Media produces the apps in-house, and will have the ability to continually refine and perfect the experience for partner schools and their users.

“CBS Interactive Advanced Media is thrilled to deliver College Sports Live and the Gameday LIVE apps to our partner schools and their fans,” said Patty Hirsch, General Manager of CBS Interactive Advanced Media. “We built these products with a multi-platform mindset and continue to invest in our mobile and streaming video technologies to serve our partners, put the content college sports fans want at their fingertips, and create compelling advertiser opportunities across screens.”

In March, CBS Interactive Advanced Media launched new mobile websites for all of its partner schools’ official athletic sites to deliver a significantly improved mobile experience, featuring a redesigned look with improved functionality and more related content. The mobile sites align the mobile experience closely with the responsive design desktop sites currently being rolled out for each school. Since launch, engagement with the mobile sites has increased significantly, with users in June up 648% and page views up 434% compared to the same month last year.
