Samsung partners with Imint for new video stabilization technology reports that Samsung has reportedly signed a deal with a Swedish technology company called Imint. The word Imint is derived from “Imaging Intelligence” and the software company is known more in the defense, industrial and aeronautical circles, than for mobile. Which is what begs the question as to what is Samsung going to do with video stabilisation technology that it cannot use on its mobile devices.

Yes, according to Swedish website Breakit,  Samsung has signed an agreement with Imint to add a touch of video stabilisation, zoom and curation to some device with video recording and playback capabilities.

The video stabilisation product is called Vidhance and it comes with three interesting features. It not just allows for super smooth video stabilisation, but also allows users to smoothly zoom into a subject in a moving frame. Add to this the third feature called Auto Curate, that features it own algorithm which is automatically chops and edits long videos into short sequences, kind of like the stuff we see on Google Photos and the Apple Photos app.
