STATS Extends Data, Information Deal with Sportsnet

STATS has extended their deal with Sportsnet, Canada’s No. 1 sports media brand.

With the extension, STATS will continue to deliver team and player statistics across major North American and international sports leagues, contributing to Sportsnet’s national coverage of the NHL, MLB, NBA, and more. The deal includes access to STATS’ premium data feeds, box scores, and more.

“Fans today want their sports providers to give more information on their favorite players and teams faster than ever,” says Steve Xeller, Chief Revenue Officer at STATS. “This agreement continues a long-standing partnership between STATS and Sportsnet and allows us to provide in-depth team and player coverage instantly to Sportsnet’s platforms and productions. We look forward to continuing our relationship as STATS develops the next generation of solutions that tell compelling sports stories through AI.”

In addition to data feeds, Sportsnet will have access to STATS’ around-the-clock research team for additional statistical support, as well as detailed game notes, analytical research packets, graphics downloads and other broadcast support solutions for Sportsnet broadcasts of NHL, NBA, and MLB games. The overall package means that Sportsnet analysts can dig even deeper into their top stories.

“Sportsnet is dedicated to delivering premium content to our viewers across Canada, and providing fans with up-to-the minute statistics and insights is essential to this commitment,” says Jon Coleman, General Manager of News and Digital Content, Sportsnet. “Through our partnership with STATS, we are able to deliver the statistics our viewers have come to expect from us, and we look forward to continuing this relationship going forward.”

STATS leads the industry with the fastest and most accurate data feeds, as validated by an independent Northwestern study. Backed by an award-winning artificial intelligence and data science team, STATS continues to invest in delivering deeper, more meaningful stories to sports fans at an even faster rate.
