uniqFEED Specializes in Cost-Effective Ad Insertion on Live, OTT Platforms
The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome uniqFEED as a new corporate sponsor. The company is the mastermind behind the software-based virtual-advertising solution for live sports TV and over-the-top (OTT) coverage.
“Ultimately, it is important to be part of and have a say in the future of sports broadcast,” says Marcel Naef, U.S. business development and sales manager, uniqFEED. “SVG runs many noteworthy events by bringing together an extensive network of thought leaders and innovators where knowledge and experience are shared.”
uniqFEED’s software overlays virtual dynamic and static perimeter boards on sports broadcasts to boost advertising revenue streams for rightsholders. Its technology can output multiple localized feeds using only camera signals, without altering any perimeter boards or cameras or using green screen. The ads can be changed for multiple geographical regions invisibly to viewers at home. This cost-effective, non-intrusive, and scalable solution can be seamlessly integrated into a broadcasting workflow onsite or in an at-home–production center.
The company has been developing its technology for four years by integrating AI, computer vision, and augmented reality. This year, its AdApt virtual-advertising solution has been commercially deployed for the first time at the Eisenhower Cup 2019 (TB10’s) and at various global locations for the International Table Tennis Foundation (ITTF). Currently, the solution is integrated into badminton coverage at the 2019 BWF World Championships in Switzerland. uniqFEED will virtually overlay the back wall with new artwork for selected Asian countries.
“SVG is a platform for sport-broadcasting leaders to communicate, exchange, and get informed about the latest trends and achievements,” says uniqFEED CEO/founder Lukas Gysin. “This platform is useful to showcase our computer-vision–based virtual-advertising solution to the right people. We are excited to be part of SVG Americas because U.S. sports is a key market for us.”
