NBC RSNs Launch Redesigned Websites With Multimedia Content Front and Center

NBC Sports Regional Networks today launched comprehensive redesigns of its portfolio of mobile web and desktop sites. The six market-specific online platforms provide faster, easier-to-navigate access for fans to discover and consume complete multimedia content – including live and on-demand video, led by live games and gameday coverage, written articles, and audio – covering the teams, athletes and events based in NBC Sports Regional Networks markets: Bay Area/California, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Portland, Ore., and Washington, D.C.-Baltimore.

“The relaunch of our website portfolio exemplifies our significant commitment to serving fans compelling multiplatform content covering their favorite teams on best-in-class, engaging digital platforms,” says David Preschlack, President, NBC Sports Regional Networks, and Executive Vice President, Content Strategy, NBC Sports Group. “With our new sites, combined with the MyTeams app, we are well positioned to exceed fans’ evolving expectations and preferences, and deliver an excellent user experience across every platform.”

NBC Sports Regional Networks are looking to deliver enhanced and innovative user experiences through visually engaging presentations, team-focused multimedia formats, and increased utility, functionality, navigation, and discoverability. The sites’ features are highlighted by individual team content portals for an all-in-one, inclusive and customized experience for fans of the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and NCAA teams covered extensively by the NBC Sports Regional Networks. Scores, schedules, standings, and other high-utility resources are prominently displayed on each team portal and homepage to complement the sites’ robust team-specific multimedia news, analysis, commentary and entertainment.

The sites’ overall design, presentation and format align with the MyTeams by NBC Sports mobile app, launched by NBC Sports Regional Networks in 2018. Together, the mobile web, app and desktop platforms create an advanced and holistic, fan-centric digital experience covering the premier teams in many of the nation’s top markets served by NBC Sports Regional Networks.
