Premier Rugby Sevens Adds Fubo Sports Network to List of Distribution Partners

As Premier Rugby Sevens (PR7s) prepares for its full launch in 2022, the North American league Hhas partnered with Fubo Sports Network to broadcast their successful debut event that took place this past October. The PR7s Inaugural Championship will rebroadcast on fuboTV on Monday, Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. ET.

“Our partnership with Fobo Sports Network is an ideal opportunity to introduce our league to new fans this month as we prepare for our full launch in multiple cities in 2022,” says Owen Scannell, CEO of Premier Rugby Sevens. “Our inaugural event in October was just a taste of what’s to come for PR7s. I encourage everyone who hasn’t seen it to join the 472,000 viewers that have consumed our event so far and watch fuboTV on Dec. 20 at 8 p.m.”

Fubo Sports Network is available as a free channel on LG Channels, Samsung TV Plus, The Roku Channel, Vizio Channels, Sports on Tubi, Plex, Hisense Smart TVs, and XUMO or as part of fuboTV’s subscription packages of 100+ sports, news, and entertainment channels.

PR7s’ debut was a watershed moment for the sports industry, as they became the first U.S. sports league to launch with men and women earning equal pay. The league made history as the first professional women’s rugby league in North America.

Fifteen Olympians from the 2020 Olympic Games competed in the inaugural event, which was broadcast live in a single day via Fox Sports in the United States, TSN in Canada, and Facebook Watch worldwide. With 120 players, six men’s teams and four women’s teams debuted in Memphis on Oct. 9, 2021. PR7s features six men’s teams and four women’s teams that play multiple games in one location on a single day. Team brands include:
