Esports Entertainment Launches Betting Platform in N.J.

Esports Entertainment Group has completed the “soft play” phase of New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement regulatory process for betting in the state. The company’s esports betting platform debuted its full launch this week, allowing all registered bettors in the Garden State to place wagers on all approved professional esports events.

“We are pleased to have passed through the soft play period, which is a testament to all the hard work put in by our team over the past year,” says Grant Johnson, CEO of Esports Entertainment Group. “As the first licensed esports-focused betting site in North America, we’re thrilled to fully launch the platform in New Jersey, one of the gold standard jurisdictions for sports wagering in the country.”

Esports Entertainment Group is the first operator to be granted the right to launch full esports betting operations in New Jersey. The company’s platform allows bettors across New Jersey, the 11th most populous U.S. state, to wager on their favorite esports teams in real-time as part of a seamless and immersive experience. Players are able to leverage their esports prowess across games such as Call of Duty, Overwatch, CS:GO, League of Legends and DOTA 2.
