WNBA Returns to Buzzer for 2022 Season

Buzzer is continuing its partnership with WNBA League Pass for the 2022 season. Beginning tomorrow, Buzzer will provide frictionless access to WNBA League Pass games via micropayments, allowing mobile-first fans to seamlessly discover and access live games through customized and curated alerts.

Additionally, as part of the partnership, Buzzer will offer the fourth quarter of more than 30 WNBA League Pass Commissioner’s Cup presented by Coinbase qualifying games for free outside of the participating teams’ markets. The Commissioner’s Cup presented by Coinbase is the WNBA’s in-season competition that designates a portion of the regular-season games in the first half of the season (10 per team) as “Commissioner’s Cup games.” The teams from the Eastern and Western Conferences with the highest winning percentage in “Cup games” will earn a spot in the Championship Game where they will compete for a prize pool of half a million dollars on Tuesday, July 26.

Buzzer users can follow their favorite WNBA teams and players in the app to receive notifications ahead of the most exciting moments during each game. Users will then have the ability to tune into WNBA League Pass live action instantaneously through a secure and easy micropayment, ensuring that no fan will ever miss an exciting moment. Additionally, Buzzer will send notifications for all nationally televised WNBA games throughout the 2022 season and will directly drive users to watch on the corresponding distribution partner (ESPN, ABC, CBS, Amazon, and Facebook).
