House of Highlights Showdown: The Return of Dodgeball To Showcase Top Content Creators in Live Team Competition

House of Highlights is back with the sixth installment of its popular creator competition Showdown franchise – House of Highlights Showdown: The Return of Dodgeball. For the first time ever, the competition will take center stage at RDC World1’s Dream Con, the viral creator group’s annual anime and gaming convention to be held at Esports Stadium Arlington in Texas, the largest facility dedicated to esports in North America.

House of Highlights Showdown: The Return of Dodgeball will stream live from Dream Con on Friday, July 15, at 9 p.m. ET on House of Highlights’ main YouTube channel, HoH’s creator-focused HoH YouTube channel, AMP’s YouTube channel, RDCWorld’s gaming Twitch channel and the B/R app. HoH’s Instagram channel and HoH’s TikTok will host additional live hand-held coverage from the ground for both pregame and game action.

The Broadcast Boys, House of Highlights breakout creator duo boasting 3.3 million followers across TikTok and YouTube, will return as hosts for the event, sharing commentary and interviewing participants throughout the competition. The event will see three teams of creators including members of RDC World1, AMP and The Dream Team – in a fast-paced team competition of dodgeball as they vie for the Ultimate Dodgeball Trophy and $100,000 of charity donations to be distributed by the winners and two runners-up.

Last year’s tournament champions RDC World1 will have a first-round pass. AMP and The Dream Team will compete in a best-of-seven game series, with the winning team facing RDC World1 in the championship round for the tournament crown. The lineup of players taking to the court will include:

  • Team RDC World1: Mark Phillips, Desmond Johnson, Ben Skinner, Dylan Patel, Leland Manigo
  •  Team Amp: Duke Dennis, Agent 00, ImDavisss, Kai Cenat, Fanum
  • The Dream Team: ImDontai, Jidion, CalebCity, King Vader, AfroSenju

The House of Highlights Showdown franchise first debuted during TNT’s Capital One’s The Match: Champions for Change and returned during 2021 NBA All-Star weekend. The concept takes top social media creators and puts them in quick-hitting competitions. The third Showdown, House of Highlights Showdown: $250K Dodgeball Tourney, was the No. 1 trending video on YouTube for over 24 hours. To date, the first five installments of the HoH Showdown have generated over 213 million social views and 14.8 million engagements across platforms.

“The Showdown franchise has been a cornerstone of House of Highlights’ creator strategy that puts social creators at the center of compelling, competitive content delivered to young sports fans on the platforms that they’re native to,” says Drew Muller, VP at House of Highlights. “These competitions have fast become appointment viewing events, driving a tremendous amount of social conversation each time.”
