SVG PLAY: Spectra Logic Shares How University of Georgia Consolidated Its Storage Silos In SVG College Summit Case Study
Spectra Logic's SVP of Business Development & Strategic Alliances Hossein ZiaShakeri walks through the project
Story Highlights
The SVG College Summit returned to Atlanta for the first time since 2019 for two days of panels, case studies, workshops, and networking. This year’s event agenda addressed critical topics facing the business ranging from live-broadcast/streaming strategies; to live-production tools and solutions; cloud-based, REMI, and IP production models; content-distribution strategies; what Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) means for you; staffing/training your production teams; and so much more.
Faced with a growing and siloed media archive, the University of Georgia needed a solution to unify their media archives and to ensure long-term accessibility by deploying best practices to protect and preserve these irreplaceable assets even in the face of a disaster. At the 2022 SVG College Summit, Spectra Logic shared how they helped the university consolidate their disparate storage silos into a single repository that extends itself to the university’s future vision of managing assets across multiple sites and campuses.
