Sennheiser, A-T sponsor AES panel on Sports and RF Technology

The Sports Video Group continues its educational efforts next Saturday, Oct. 7 at the 121st AES Convention in San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center with a special panel on the future of RF wireless and the sports industry.

The panel will be held in Room 232 of the Moscone Convention Center from 9-10 a.m.

The panel will be moderated by the SBE’s Don Sharp and Bill Ruck of the Northern California Frequency Coordinating Committee (NCFCC). Panelists include: Uwe Sattler, Sennheiser Technical Director; Edgar Riehl, Shure director of technology; Howard Kaufman, Lectrosonics and Jackie Green, Audio-Technica U.S., V.P. R&D/Engineering.

With the help of event sponsors Sennheiser and Audio-Technica the SVG will not only pull together some of the industry’s top RF technology minds but also provide early risers who attend a nice continental breakfast.

The discussion will focus on steps being taken by manufacturers to ensure products better meet the needs of sport broadcasters, teams and leagues. Other topics include how the manufacturers are preparing for future spectrum cut backs, how they’re addressing the problem of effectively co-ordinating an ever-growing number of users, and which technologies hold the most promise in the digital age
