Tickets Sold Out for Celtics vs. Timberwolves at the O2 Arena in London

Tickets
have sold out for the game between the Boston Celtics and Minnesota
Timberwolves as part of NBA Europe Live presented by EA SPORTS it was announced
by the NBA and Euroleague Basketball. The game to be played on Oct.10 at The O2
marks the first time an NBA team has played in the

UK since 1995.

“Selling
out the game so rapidly is a great testament to the ever growing popularity of
basketball in the

UK,”
said Sophie Goldschmidt, Vice President, Marketing Partnerships and Business
Development, NBA Europe. “We are pleased to see such a strong demand for
tickets for the first NBA match up held in the

UK’s state-of-the-art, NBA-style
arena, The O2.”

It will be
the first trip to the

UK
for both the Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves. The Celtics, led by
five-time NBA All-Star Paul Pierce and 2007 NBA Slam Dunk Champion Gerald
Green, are one of the founding teams of the NBA having won a record 16 NBA
Championships. As part of the NBA Europe Live Tour, the Celtics will also
travel to

Rome,
Italy for training camp before
facing off against the Toronto Raptors on Oct. 6.

The
Timberwolves behind the spectacular play of 2004 NBA Most Valuable Player Kevin
Garnett are sure to bring intensity and excitement to the game in the
UK’s capital, the Timberwolves will conduct
training camp in
Istanbul,
Turkey and play a game against local team Efes
Pilsen on Oct. 6 before making the trip to

London.

2007 NBA
Europe Live presented by EA SPORTS will visit the Italian cities of
Rome and
Treviso; Spanish
cities
Madrid and
Malaga;
as well as the Turkish city of

Istanbul
this autumn. After the 2007 NBA Europe Live Tour, NBA teams will have played 41
games in 15 cities throughout
Europe over the
past two decades. The inaugural NBA Europe Live visited seven cities in five
countries and drew more than 36 million viewers, 115,000 spectators, and 18
marketing partners in October 2006.
