Miranda offers dual quad-split processor in 1RU frame

Miranda Technologies will be highlighting the new Kaleido-Quad-Dual
dual quad-split processor at NAB, which combines two independent quad-split processors in a single 1RU frame. Miranda says the Kaleido-Quad-Dual is ideal for applications such as mobile truck
monitoring, which typically demands high density monitoring across
multiple, high quality but inexpensive LCD monitors.

Unlike traditional quad-split processors, the Kaleido-Quad-Dual
provides full flexibility with respect to the sizing and positioning of
the HD/SD/Analog video windows. The processor has 2 x 4 auto-sensing
HD-SDI/ SDI / Analog Composite video inputs, and two high quality DVI
outputs with up to 1920 x 1200 pixels. The aspect ratio of the video
windows can be automatically controlled by AFD and WSS.

The Kaleido-Quad-Dual
also offers advanced video and audio probing, including signal black, freeze
and luminance too high, audio presence, overload, mono and out of phase
alarms. The display can also include Embedded, AES and
Analog audio level metering, along with Source IDs, tallys, aspect
ratio markers, and clocks/timers.

Kaleido-Alto-Dual offers highly intuitive control, using either a mouse
or compact remote panel. Mouse-operated on-screen
drop-down menus are contextual to speed operations, and offer numerous
functions, such as changing aspect ratios, checking the safe area, and
changing text in a UMD. Users can also instantly change layout
configurations, and dynamically zoom one source larger for quality
control, or audio monitoring of an on-screen source.

The compact Kaleido-RCP remote panel provides swift recall of layouts,
and the selection of a window full screen, or the selection of an audio
pair to the monitoring output.

The Kaleido-Quad-Dual features built-in redundant power supplies for a
high level of resilience. The processor is also available as a lower
cost, single quad-split version.
