The latest developments in streaming, mobile, and more were the focus of SVG’s fourth-annual Digital Sports Summit, which drew more than 180 attendees on Sept. 22 to a day-long session in New York. The morning sessions kicked off with a keynote speech by New Meadowlands Stadium CTO Peter Brickman and New York Giants Entertainment VP/Executive Producer Don Sperling, who provided an inside look at the stadium’s efforts in serving today’s digital fan.

The afternoon keynote provided a look at UltraViolet, industry consortium DECE’s consumer brand, which is intended to transform the media landscape by allowing consumers who purchase physical media like DVDs and Blu-ray to watch that content across multiple platforms.

Industry leaders from leagues, teams, and networks discussed their evolving digital strategies during a pair of panels that featured top technology executives from, the USTA, MLB Advanced Media, the NHL, Penn State University, NBC Sports, Comcast Sports Group,, and the YES Network.

In addition, a quartet of panels throughout the day addressed the skyrocketing use of handheld devices, streaming-media formats, online-content protection, and the evolving living room.
