XOS Digital Launches Digital Library for College Football Recruiting
Story Highlights
XOS Digital has launched XOS PlayerOnDemand (POD), a web-enabled video-centric portal designed to aide college football coaches during the recruiting and scouting process by aggregating prospect profiles and video highlights of more than 5,000 recruits. According to XOS, the POD platform is the country’s largest digital video library of incoming college football recruits online.
POD provides a list of the nation’s top prospects along with a player rating that ranges from one to six based on the XOS Scouting team’s evaluations. Coaches can view information on the players including school profile, class, academics, position, statistics, a full evaluation report and their XOS rating, as well as highlights and full-game videos.
XOS Digital established its POD service in 2010 through the acquisition of five independent, nationwide prospect databases: NorCal Football Scouting, The Forbes Report, Rising Stock Scouting, Scouting Evaluation Association, and Texas Sports Films.
Since then, XOS Digital has integrated the new recruiting portal into the XOS Thunder coaching platform to enhance the management of all digital recruiting assets. According to company officials, coaches can download, edit and share content securely from any computer online. XOS PlayerOnDemand launched this week with more than 100 teams across the country, including Auburn, Boise State, Stanford, LSU and Ohio State.
“This is an exciting time for XOS and its partners as college football recruiting moves toward a fully digital landscape,” says Chris McCleary, CEO, XOS Digital. “We understand a coach’s need to operate more efficiently and effectively and we have worked diligently to develop a solution that meets their needs.”
