ESPN’s Daniel Silver To Keynote SportsPost NY

SVG’s first annual SportsPost NY event next month will kick off with a keynote by ESPN Films Director of Development Daniel Silver. SportsPost NY, which will be held Feb. 27 at the HBO Theater in New York City, will address the latest developments and workflows in sports postproduction and feature leading post execs, producers, editors, and graphics professionals.

Silver will provide attendees with an intimate look at the development of ESPN’s series of successful sports documentaries, including the Peabody Award-winning series 30 for 30. The sports documentary has leapt into the forefront of the sports-programming landscape in recent years, largely thanks to ESPN’s efforts. Silver will provide insight into how ESPN scouts and develops new docs and short films and how the network’s postproduction team works to turn a simple idea into a well told story.
