Bloomberg Sports, OneTwoSee Partner to Bring Advanced Fan Engagement to Smart TV
Story Highlights
Bloomberg Sports announced an expanded partnership with Multiplatform Fan Engagement innovator OneTwoSee. The companies will work together to develop real-time applications for Smart TVs that expand and enhance the broadcast viewing experience for sports audiences and fans.
The partnership announcement was made at International CES 2014, where the application is being demonstrated for the first time in conjunction with LG Electronics on LG’s new webOS Smart TV platform.
The collaboration comes as consumers flock to Smart TVs with internet connectivity and embedded applications. With this new application, which is included free of charge on new LG Smart TV platforms, Bloomberg Sports and OneTwoSee aim to leverage the interactivity of connected TVs with traditional broadcast video to bring sports fans an experience that marries the best of ‘lean-back’ television viewing and ‘lean-forward’ internet consumption.
The demonstration of the application at International CES 2014 highlights the ability for Smart TV users to view live baseball action while interacting with stunning on-screen graphics, including elements linked to real-time player stats, pitching and hitting probabilities, on-base percentages and other advanced analytics.
