Southpaw Sports & Entertainment Acquires Panasonic’s Live Events Division

Southpaw Sports & Entertainment has agreed to acquire the Live Events group of Panasonic Sports and Entertainment Business Unit, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company of North America specializing in LED video board solutions. With the acquisition, Southpaw will benefit from Panasonic’s highly skilled and experienced staff and client list of over 200 LED projects throughout North America. The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year.

Southpaw’s ownership group is made up of LED industry veterans with over 60 years of combined experience. Southpaw’s project team members have installed some of the most iconic LED displays around North America including new LED displays at SunTrust Park for the Atlanta Braves, new 4K LED displays at the Golden 1 Center home of the Sacramento Kings and over 35 different LED displays at Lincoln Financial Field for the World Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Other clients include Florida State University, Texas Christian University, Ohio State University, Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, Churchill Downs, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Texas Live!, and SeaWorld.
