When the Rocky Mountain Audio Video Expo (AVX) returns to Denver on Nov. 3-4, attendees can expect a plethora of new products making their debut in Colorado. With many of the massive trade shows cancelling because of Covid, this smaller, regional event will get a lot of action. More than 100 exhibitors are expected, as well as a comprehensive schedule of speakers, seminars and workshops. AVX presents an unrivaled opportunity to get schooled by the pros and sneak a peek at new technology that’s disrupting the industry. Panasonic
LUMIX BS1H: The new full-frame box-style LUMIX Digital Single Lens Mirrorless Camera is a versatile box-style camera that combines cinema-quality video performance with an easy-to-deploy box-style profile. AK Series: The expanded AK series studio/field camera line (cost-effective AK-HC3900GJ/GSJ 1080p HDR studio camera system) now includes a full simultaneous HDR/SDR feature set, expanded multi-format capability (1080: 59.94p, 50p, 59.94i, 50i, 29.97PsF, 25PsF, 23.98PsF; 720: 59.94p/50p) and future optional upgrade to 4K 60p/50p production. The AK-HC3900GJ/GSJ captures its raw image from an internal 4K imaging system to deliver its stunning HD HDR images with ITU-R BT.2020 wide color space. The Internal 4K capture also means that the future optional 4K system upgrade will yield a full 2000 TV lines horizontal resolution.
Kairos: This next generation IT/IP live production platform provides flexibility and greater control for 360-degree studio. Kairos can be used to automate 4K broadcast streaming studio and streamline remote capabilities. The Kairos platform’s built-in features allow operators to control all cameras through one IP network, color correct, playback shots and edit graphics.
AJA Video Systems
v1.12 software for BRIDGE LIVE: This turnkey multi-channel live video solution is for remote production, contribution, collaboration, streaming, and delivery. The update brings bi-directional NDI input, output, and transcode, making it AJA’s first NDI-enabled product. Additional improvements include HLS output; video preview; and user interface updates for more intuitive configuration.
