Since Major League Baseball first debuted on FOX Sports back in 1996, the network’s audio team has established itself as a benchmark of sound in the live sports production space. At the 2022 Sports Emmys, MLB on FOX returned to the summit of sound when it took home the trophy for Outstanding Audio/Sound – Live Event.
SVG caught up with Fox Sports’ senior sound engineer Joe Carpenter to break down a unique and successful year of MLB on FOX that included the return of live fans to the ballpark, the MLB at Field of Dreams game, and another memorable Postseason.
